Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and analyze inventory accuracy
- Ensure all inventory is processed in and out of the system accurately and efficiently
- Work with the warehouse management system
- Order processing
- Perform cycle counts
- Ensure packing lists match purchase orders
- Perform day-to-day warehouse operational activities and ensure all the work is entered into the system accurately
- Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members
- Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
- Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
- Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
- Remain flexible, overtime may be required depending on production needs
- Attention to detail
- Receive and understand fulfillment orders to determine the type and quantity of items ordered by the customer
- Obtain storage location information from the merchandise database/scanner to assist in locating the item
- Locate items in storage areas and compare the information on them with pick orders to ensure conformance
- Arrange all incoming shipments in designated storage areas according to established protocols, using the forklift and company pallet jack
- Unpack returned merchandise, inspect package condition and assess paperwork sent in with return instructions for proper return procedures
- Inspect returned merchandise, checking for quality and condition of the product to determine the return category
- Receive merchandise, following all security and safety return procedures for each product type
- Identify critical distribution issues and report them to the team lead/supervisor
- Data entry as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times
- Other tasks as required to meet team goals
Qualifications
- Degree in supply chain or related field (preferred)
- Forklift experience
- Must be proficient in Excel and Word
- 3-5 years warehouse experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of storage racking and pallet systems
